Movement
Mini Yoga and Dance
Animal poses, freeze dance and calm-down breathing games that help little bodies balance, move and settle.
- 8 lessons
- Ages 1 to 6
Art with young children is about the doing, not a perfect picture for the fridge. You will learn how drawing and making change from 1 to 6, how to set up an art corner with safe materials on a small budget, and how to run painting, collage, cutting, dough and printing sessions, plus what to say about a drawing instead of another good job.

In a deliberate order. Each lesson explains why the play matters, gives you activities ready to run, and ends with a small assignment for the week.
You will know what the eight lessons cover, how to fit art into an ordinary week, why the doing matters more than the result, and the safety rules we use throughout.
You will understand how drawing and making usually change from age 1 to 6, and you will have better things to say about your child's art than "good job".
You will be able to set up a small, washable art space and choose materials that are safe and suitable for your child's age without spending much.
You will be able to make a taste-safe finger paint for under 3s and run painting sessions with brushes, sponges and household objects for children up to 6.
You will know how to introduce tearing, child scissors and glue in the order most children are ready for them, and how to turn clean recycling into safe collage materials.
You will be able to make playdough and salt dough safely, check for allergies first, and run modeling activities for ages 1 to 6.
You will be able to run printing and stamping sessions, make seasonal crafts from found leaves and sticks, and help your child make simple gifts and cards.
You will have a simple way to display and keep your child's art, a written 4-week plan that uses the whole course, and a short list of signs worth raising with a pediatrician or health visitor.

Play education, not therapy. Our courses give parents activities and the reasons behind them; they do not assess children or replace a pediatrician, therapist or teacher. Always supervise play. Read the safety notice.
The Complete Collection includes this course and the other 5, 48 lessons in all, for $147. That saves $135 against buying them one by one.
